**Pittsburgh Police Search for Missing Man**
Detectives from the Special Victims Unit of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police are actively searching for a missing 30-year-old male, David Schmitt. Schmitt was last seen on October 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Giant Eagle located on Cedar Avenue in the North Side neighborhood of Pittsburgh. His family has reported that his disappearance is out of character.
David Schmitt is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 140 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and a full beard. At the time of his last sighting, he was wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, and a hooded sweatshirt that is red and black checkered, without a zipper.
Schmitt is known to frequent the Troy Hill, Spring Hill, and East Allegheny areas.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about Schmitt's whereabouts to contact the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police at (412) 323-7800 or to call 911.
